About the role
The Warehouse Lead plans and directs delivery operations, focusing on proactive risk mitigation and problem-solving. This role sets a leadership example and builds a team that drives continuous improvement in productivity, inventory management, quality control, OSHA compliance, and cost management. Strong operations acumen, employee relations, customer service, and leadership capabilities are essential. Stone slab handling experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure inbound safety and timely inventory of material shipments
- Inspect and document incoming inventory
- Accurately account, track, and maintain inventory of incoming shipments in P21
- Maintain proper accounting and documentation of shipped/delivered product in P21
- Inspect outbound product prior to delivery and shipping
- Work with Customer Service team and Account Managers to prioritize shipments and deliveries
- Review driver routes and ensure efficient use of delivery trucks
- Safely and efficiently deliver product to customers
- Maintain adequate inventory of shipping and packaging materials
- Review shipping and logistics rates periodically to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining high customer service levels
- Perform periodic physical inventory counts and research discrepancies to ensure physical stock matches P21
- Plan efficient storage of inventory to support timely inbound and outbound shipping and receiving
- Supervise warehouse personnel and ensure compliance with all laws and company policies
- Periodically inspect, document, and maintain all warehouse equipment (e.g., delivery trucks, forklifts, storage racks, tools) in good working condition
Requirements
- Experience in the tile or stone industry or slab handling experience strongly preferred
- Extreme organization skills
- Clean criminal and driving record
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
