About the Role
Ourvita, a global contract manufacturer specializing in nutritional, cosmetic, and healthcare products, is seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team. With nearly 3,000 dedicated colleagues worldwide and over 690 years of combined expertise, we partner with leading brands to deliver science-based, sustainable solutions that enhance well-being. Shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assign daily work activities to warehouse associates to ensure production schedules and shipping deadlines are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for operational questions and issue escalation during assigned shifts.
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and material availability, adjusting priorities as needed to support business demands.
- Verify accuracy of inventory transactions, staging, and documentation; investigate and escalate discrepancies.
- Support training, coaching, and mentoring of warehouse team members to reinforce safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
- Communicate shift handoffs, key issues, and status updates to supervisors and cross-functional partners.
- Model and enforce compliance with safety policies, GMPs, and standard operating procedures.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment within warehouse and production areas.
- Select, prepare, and load products for outbound shipments based on customer and shipping specifications.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and properly store inbound raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory using electronic inventory systems and follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) guidelines.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
Additional Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain certification.
- Two plus years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Experience with electronic inventory systems (e.g., ERP/WMS such as Sage X3) preferred.
Skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
