Warehouse Lead

About the role

MSI is seeking a Lead to supervise warehouse members, conduct floor operations, and ensure compliance with safety regulations in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day tasks are completed in a timely manner.
• Manage warehouse members and assign team members to different areas as required.
• Pull slabs from the warehouse based on provided orders and move them to loading areas using overhead cranes.
• Ensure product is well secured on vehicles/trucks and take all necessary safety measures.
• Unload slabs from containers using forklifts.
• Conduct floor operations and lead stand-up meetings.
• Perform effective shift changeovers.
• Train and certify operators (forklift, crane, scissor lift, saw, packing, loading, etc.).
• Maintain a safety-oriented environment and proactively prevent injuries.
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures according to standards.
• Use problem-solving tools and collaborate with team members to eliminate safety issues.
• Ensure the warehouse area is clean for customer tours during the daytime.
• Use systems to deliver customer orders complete and on time.
• Identify process constraints and use lean management techniques to improve material flow, quality, and inventory accuracy.
• Lead projects and other collaborative continuous improvement activities.
• Proficiently use problem-solving tools such as 5S, 5 Why, PDCA, and focus boards.
• Perform additional duties as required or requested.

Requirements

• Effective use of technology including PCs, scanners, and tablets (iPad).
• Strong communication (written/verbal), time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn product, process, and equipment.
• Ability to lead, train, coach, and motivate warehouse employees.
• Ability to make sound decisions and delegate appropriately.
• 1-2 years of supervisor experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the stone industry.
• Forklift and crane experience.
• High school education required.
• LEAN, Toyota Production System, Green Belt, 5S, or other continuous improvement training desired.
• Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
• High level of customer service and good organizational skills.

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Pay

This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $24.75 to $27 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires typically earn between $74,100 and $82,500 annually, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 06:30 PM, with 2 Saturdays a month from 06:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
