Warehouse Lead (1st)

Responsibilities

• Maintains workflow and adjusts to changes by directing and guiding others in assigned department
• Keeps supervisor up-to-date on progress and any challenges
• Completes daily workloads independently
• Assists in training or retraining of new or current employees
• Conducts self in a manner that portrays safety, productivity, and professionalism

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior distribution/warehouse experience preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the capability to adjust to change and interruptions
• Requires 5 years of directly related experience or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of warehouse management software and equipment
• Must be able to maintain neat and accurate records
• Must be skilled in basic arithmetic and read/write in the English language
• Must be able to operate lift trucks and become certified through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program
• Must be able to work with a diverse range of personalities
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the capability to adjust to change and interruptions
• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Must operate all lift equipment in a safe manner

Skills

• Knowledge of all processes and policies relating to all duties performed in assigned department(s)
• Working knowledge of warehouse management software and equipment
• Ability to operate lift trucks and become certified through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program
• Basic arithmetic and ability to read/write in the English language
• Physical exertion and ability to perform basic lifting and system tasks for all warehouse functions and departments
