About the role
Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Louisville, KY. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors.
- Operate sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Work in a clean, organized, and well-run facility to ensure the safest supply chain environment.
- Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
- Perform tasks within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Support the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
- Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment.
- Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
- A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
- Strong technical aptitude including using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS System.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Able to work both indoors and outside.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Able to work within a diverse work environment.
- Punctual and good attendance record.
- Possesses a high degree of initiative.
- Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work using health and safety methods.
- Able to work within a flexible schedule on various work shifts.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay
$18.97 per hour.
Schedule
First Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
