Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator in Romeoville, Illinois. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks.
• Handling day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment, including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during peak production hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
• Punctuality and good attendance record.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour.
• Shift Pay: $0.75 per hour.

Schedule

• C Shift: Wednesday 6:00 am – 12:00 pm, Thursday – Saturday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm.
