Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Gastonia, NC. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors
• Operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Load and unload trucks according to performance measurement guidelines
• Pick, pack, and audit products accurately
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
• Punctual and reliable attendance record
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Standing for long periods of time
• Work using health and safety methods
• Available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong technical aptitude including using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS System
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Able to work both indoors and outside

Skills

• Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiency
• Scanning and order entry skills
• Forklift operation certification
• Technical aptitude for automated packing systems

Pay

$17.12 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
