About the role
The Warehouse Coordinator is primarily responsible for the accurate storage, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and location accuracy for all products stored in frozen or dry goods warehouse areas. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams daily.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the current ERP application and/or RF technology equipment and operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, kit, and count products.
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, including passing certification training.
- Unload and move inbound shipments, storing product in designated locations or delivering to the production floor.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accurate quantity and type are loaded.
- Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
- Fulfill work orders per the manufacturing schedule, issuing or returning materials in real-time via RF technology.
- Inspect freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure tight inventory control and security.
- Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO principles.
- Communicate effectively with freight suppliers, import/export teams, freight forwarders, packaging vendors, manufacturing personnel, customer service, engineering, finance, and other company personnel.
- Analyze and reconcile inventory variances.
- Maintain an accurate and well-organized warehouse and receiving/shipping dock.
- Interface with MIS to address system enhancements or problems and initiate requests to improve inventory control.
Requirements
- Knowledge of inventory control systems and processes for daily activities.
- Experience operating forklift trucks.
- Ability to work in cold storage environments with temperatures ranging from 24°F to -10°F.
- Understanding of warehousing processes and their integration into company practices.
