Warehouse Associate (Runner) | Part-Time | Worcester Red Sox (Polar Park)

About the role

The Warehouse Worker (Runner) is responsible for assisting in venue distribution/warehouse operations, including inventory, receiving, purchase order tracking, clean-up, transfers, and equipment maintenance. This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business.

Responsibilities

• Morning Warehouse Associate (REQs/Receiving): Works between 7AM and 4PM (shifts available seven days per week!)
• Receives deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality before rotating with on-hand stock in our warehouse/store rooms
• Fulfills requisition sheets to accurately restock bars, concession stands, or kitchens for upcoming events
• Stages products for upcoming events
• Processing spoilage
• Distribution of product
• Equipment maintenance
• Maintaining working knowledge of all existing concessions locations: geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
• Afternoon/Evening Warehouse Associate (Events): Works between 3PM and 11PM (shifts available seven days per week!)
• Fluctuating, event-based schedule
• Product fulfillment during events
• Servicing draft beer lines to exchange kegs or CO₂ tanks when necessary
• Restocking Grab & Go locations at End of Day
• Post-Event Breakdown: Moves kegs of beer using a hand truck. Running product throughout an event
• Warehouse closing duties (sweep, mop, trash & recycling processed)
• Maintaining working knowledge of all existing concessions locations: geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of foodservice, hospitality, or warehousing experience
• Similar venue experience is a plus
• Physical ability to execute warehouse duties
• Food Service Certification (ServSafe)
• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner that fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
• Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to venue concession operations
• Performing the duties of this position involves extensive and continuous standing and walking
• Able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Able to lift heavy objects (a team lift is always encouraged when needed!)
• Experience operating heavy-duty equipment, including electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and forklifts, is strongly desired

Pay

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 to $19.00.
