Warehouse Associate 3rd Shift

About the role

Cornwall Building Brands is seeking a Warehouse Associate to assist in the warehouse by crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks. The position involves ensuring orders are filled accurately, maintaining structural integrity of shipped cartons, and performing various warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the warehouse by crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks.
• Ensures orders are filled accurately for customer satisfaction.
• Ensures cartons shipped are structurally sound and suitable for sale by visually inspecting cartons, repairing and reboxing as needed.
• Affixes loose cartons into trucks to ensure stability during shipment.
• Collects wood product for the set-up and construction of crates.
• Builds crates from wooden materials around cartons of product in preparation for shipment by flatbeds.
• Repairs or reseals damaged cartons, or reboxes product when necessary.
• Consolidates all accessory and siding products on storage racks when needed.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment.
• Performs warehouse maintenance and warehouse housekeeping.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
• Attends scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if necessary.
• Maintains an accurate time-card daily and calculates on a weekly basis.
• Participates in all plant safety programs, depending on location.

Qualifications

• No experience necessary; mechanical aptitude helpful.
• Basic knowledge of shipping process helpful.
• Good eye/hand coordination, excellent manual dexterity, and ability to read and comprehend numbers.
• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and lift 87 to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Detailed oriented, possesses good communication skills, and interacts well with others.
• Willingness to obtain a license to operate motorized equipment if applicable.
• Willingness to be certified to operate a crane if applicable.

Pay

Base Pay is $17.25 per hour plus .85 shift differential.

Schedule

Third Shift: 11pm-7am, Sunday-Thursday.
