Warehouse Associate 1st Shift

Brief Description Position Summary: The Warehouse Associate 1 will increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and storing materials, as well as picking, packing and scanning orders for pickup and delivery. This position will initially report to our Warehouse in St. Louis until we are fully moved out and will then report into our new Warehouse location in Edwardsville, IL. The shift is Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. Job Responsibilities: Unload floor loaded containers onto pallets and stack them in the proper configurationStage pallets for put awayAssist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficientlyMove pallets of product from the staging area to the proper storage binsPerform internal movement of pallets between storage binsAccurately pick and prepare customer orders according to picklistMaintain accurate and timely records of material movements written and transacted Requirements What you will need to be successful: Prior warehouse experience requiredAbility to operate forklift in compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OHSA)Forklift certification highly preferredAbility to perform Picking process efficientlyUnderstand basic inventory, warehousing, and stocking proceduresAbility to recognize and understand numbers and alpha/numeric codesAbility to work independently with some directionsCapable of following written instructions and documented proceduresComfortable in fast-paced environmentAbility to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)Team player who works productively with wide range of peopleManage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities Work Environment & Physical Demands: Warehouse Employees must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move 25 to 40 poundsComfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent use of hands and fingers to grasp products. Ability to work at a rapid pace. Climbing and other consistent physical activity required.
