About the role
This position is accountable for duties related to the loading and unloading of trucks; conveying materials to and from storage and designated work sites; and using radio frequency (RF) inventory control software to process orders and materials.
Responsibilities
- Ensure availability of required components and supplies.
- Verify part numbers, order numbers, batch number, purchase order number, and quantities to ensure inventory accuracy for applicable assignments.
- Process paperwork accurately according to established current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Load and unload trucks and racks.
- Use radio frequency (RF) inventory software to:
- Process transfer orders
- Receive materials against purchase orders
- Locate and retrieve materials from storage locations
- Operate material handling equipment safely.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Locate inventory.
- Follow established safety procedures and report any safety concerns immediately.
- Perform visual quality checks on inventory.
- Assist with orientation and training of new employees.
- Serve as a backup to other members of the team.
- Process "on hold" or scrap materials according to procedure.
- Perform or assist with cycle count activity as needed.
- Operate powered industrial transportation (PIT) equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and training.
- Perform battery changes for department powered industrial transportation equipment.
Requirements
- No previous experience required; proficiency can be obtained through on-the-job training.
- Travel between campus locations in Northeast Ohio as needed.
This is a direct manufacturing/distribution role, 100% on-site and non-exempt under the FLSA.
Pay
The starting pay rate for this role is $19.40 per hour. All GOJO team members are bonus eligible.
