Warehouse Area Manager (Lawrence, KS)

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Establishes and monitors the daily production schedules and ensures adherence to priorities
• Maintains and monitors procedures to ensure integrity and accuracy of inventory and efficient resource utilization to control costs
• Determines and implements appropriate procedures and monitors their effectiveness, recommending changes as needed
• Maintains proper work flow and inventory processes to enhance associate experience
• Safeguards all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment
• Manages the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System
• Maintains the integrity of the SQF System and communicates all necessary information to support its effective implementation and maintenance
• Executes supervisory responsibilities, including making hiring, promoting, demoting, and terminating decisions, conducting performance appraisals, and coaching and developing associates

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-4 years of related experience
• 18 years of age or older

• Strong knowledge of distribution center procedures
• Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making abilities
• Proficient computer skills
• Exceptional leadership, administrative, and organizational skills
• Ability to physically access all areas of the working environment to observe operations and associates
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends, and operate under tight deadlines with multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Associates Degree or above in Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or Transportation
• Working knowledge of Lean Principles
