Warehouse and Forklift Driver

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments of materials, parts, and supplies, verifying quantities and checking for damage or discrepancies
  • Compare received items to purchase orders, packing slips, and quality requirements to ensure accuracy
  • Record received materials in the inventory management system, including quantities, lot numbers, serial numbers, and other required information
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damages, shortages, or quality concerns to the appropriate department or supplier
  • Cook properly label, tag, store, and organize received materials in designated warehouse or storage locations
  • Process orders and coordinate shipping activities to support timely and accurate delivery
  • Pack and label products for shipment while following shipping requirements and company standards
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including tracking information and delivery confirmations
  • Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Aid with inventory management, regular audits, restocking, and physical inventory counts
  • Support general warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, organizing, and maintaining a clean and safe work area

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, or a similar role preferred
  • Manufacturing or distribution environment experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus

Physical And Environmental Requirements

  • The ability to work in a manufacturing environment with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and other environmental stressors
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, climbing, crouching, reaching, grasping, and standing for long shifts
  • Manual dexterity, basic math skills, teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety-toe footwear
