ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies
- Load trucks and secure product in accordance with customer requirements
- Load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices
- Maintain inventory of materials and supply production lines with raw materials
- Weigh materials or products and record results on tags, labels, or production schedules
- Inventory product as needed and label, sort, and wrap product
- Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting devices
- Adapt schedule to work alongside the changing demands of the warehouse
- Communicate with floor lead regarding maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, unacceptable or non-conforming loads, poor bale quality, or any other issues with material being handled
- Report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines
- Perform special projects as business dictates
Skills, Qualifications, And Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have earned a High School Diploma, GED, required schooling, qualifying experience or skills in Machine Operator experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented and self-directed
- Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to this position and to the safety regulations
- Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base profile (below) for this position
- Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job
- Must be able to perform all the job functions safely
- Must meet the company quality and performance standards for the job as specified
- Able to agree to wear the proper assigned PPE and shoes approved for this job as specified in Contact and Safety Requirements
