Responsibilities
- Meal preparation
- Stand-by assistance
- Medication reminders and assistance
- Companionship (playing games, going for walks, engaging in conversation, etc.)
- Light house chores
- Driving to appointments, running errands, etc.
- Showering, bathing, grooming assistance
Requirements
- Active HCA or CNA license valid in the State of Washington (HCA paid training is available)
- Smartphone for time and attendance software
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
- Strong time management, interpersonal, patience, and listening skills
- Knowledge of generally accepted care standards
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, through various channels (in-person, phone, email, text)
- Demonstrated experience and tact in communicating with diverse populations
- Ability to maintain professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations
- Regular local travel and reliable transportation to assigned client locations
- Minimum of six months of industry-related experience
- RN Delegation certification is highly desired
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with or technical aptitude to use records management systems and health care programs such as WellSky Personal Care
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds when assisting with direct patient care
- Seldom required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds (assisted when providing direct patient care)
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift, balance, use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel; talk and hear; bend and reach with hands and arms; and use repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Occasionally required to climb ladders or steps, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions while conducting home visits and traveling between locations
- May occasionally be exposed to atmospheric conditions during in-home visits, such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, or poor ventilation
- May be exposed to infectious diseases
- Noise level is low and typical of what is experienced in a traditional home or office environment
Pay
Base rate of $22 - $23.50/hr, depending on experience
