Wait Assistant

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear tables in the dining area.
• Bring glasses of water to newly seated guests and refill water as needed.
• Deliver food to guests.
• Carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
• Scrape dishes, separate silverware, and stack dishes in the dishwasher area.
• Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in food service areas or other restaurant areas.
• Clean up spilled food, drink, or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
• Maintain side-work duties to ensure total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Interact with guests and staff in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by exceeding expectations.
• Report to work in a neat, clean uniform with well-groomed hair and good personal hygiene.
• Work as a team with all restaurant personnel to maintain an effective and efficient atmosphere.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of proper etiquette for table clearing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and independently.
• Ability to organize and multitask.

Schedule

This is an hourly paid position with varying days and hours based on business needs. The restaurant operates seven days a week, with shifts starting as early as 10:00 AM and ending as late as 1:00 AM.
