Wage and Hour Class Action Associate - West Los Angeles

About the Role

Ogletree Deakins is seeking experienced employment litigation attorneys in West Los Angeles and the surrounding Westside communities to grow our presence in the greater Los Angeles market. We are particularly interested in attorneys with experience in wage and hour class and representative actions, PAGA, single-plaintiff employment litigation, or other complex employment matters.

Relevant experience may include drafting motions and pleadings, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, attending hearings and court conferences, conducting investigations, and handling matters through various stages of litigation. We welcome interest from attorneys at the Associate and Counsel levels.

Responsibilities

• Draft motions and pleadings
• Manage discovery processes
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend hearings and court conferences
• Conduct investigations
• Handle matters through various stages of litigation

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• 3 or more years of litigation experience, preferably involving California employment law
• Experience with wage and hour, class or representative actions, or single-plaintiff employment litigation is preferred
• Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills

Pay

The expected salary range for this California position is between $230,000 and $275,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. A competitive hours-based bonus is also available.
