  • Automate farm health checks, bulk site/permission operations, service-application administration, and backup/restore tasks using PowerShell
  • Execute farm-level, web-application, and site-collection backups/restores; support disaster-recovery testing and recovery activities
  • Administer IIS for SharePoint (application pools, bindings, certificates, authentication settings) and Windows Server components
  • Manage SQL Server content databases, service-application databases, and basic performance troubleshooting (locks, growth, capacity planning)
  • Analyze ULS logs, IIS logs, Event Viewer, and SQL errors for root-cause analysis
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SharePoint incidents: performance degradation, search/crawl failures, authentication/access issues, timer-job failures
  • Implement SharePoint security baselines, hardening standards, permission reviews, audits, and compliance-driven requests
  • Document operational runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SharePoint Server (on-premises) with a strong focus on SharePoint Server 2019
  • 10+ years of experience with Exchange 2019/2016 on-premises and M365 (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online)
  • Proven experience supporting large, enterprise-scale SharePoint farms (single/multi-farm, multi-tier architecture)
  • Proficiency in scripting and PowerShell for SharePoint and Exchange administration
  • Strong working knowledge of client connectivity, hybrid mail flow, and Exchange security
  • Certification on M365, Exchange, or SharePoint (preferred)

Skills

  • SharePoint farm administration (Central Administration, service applications)
  • Permissions management (AD groups, SharePoint groups, inheritance, least-privilege models)
  • User Profile Service (UPS) configuration, synchronization, and troubleshooting
  • Managed Metadata Service, Search Service, Secure Store, State Service, and other core service applications
  • SharePoint Server 2019 patching, maintenance, and upgrades
  • PowerShell automation for farm health checks, bulk operations, service-application administration, and backup/restore tasks
  • Backup, restore, and disaster-recovery strategies for SharePoint and SQL Server
  • IIS administration for SharePoint (application pools, bindings, certificates, authentication settings)
  • Windows Server administration related to SharePoint farms
  • SQL Server administration for SharePoint (content databases, service-application databases, performance troubleshooting)
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting SharePoint incidents (performance, search, authentication, timer jobs, service failures)
  • SharePoint security baselines, hardening standards, permission audits, and compliance-driven requests
  • Root-cause analysis using ULS logs, IIS logs, Event Viewer, and SQL errors

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SharePoint Server Subscription Edition or upgrade planning
  • Exposure to SharePoint Online / Hybrid environments
  • Support for migration projects from SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Online
  • Documentation of operational runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
