Support ongoing communications requirements at SOUTHCOM. This position is located in Doral, FL and is onsite.
Responsibilities
- Provides installation, technical expertise, and training for all telecommunications equipment and components.
- Installs, configures, terminates, and tests all telecommunications equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces.
- Performs intricate alignment and calibration procedures to ensure telecommunication systems operate efficiently.
- Maintains telecommunication equipment and component inventory, asset management, media production equipment and facilities, as well as fixed installations at various company and/or client sites.
- Resolves system operational problems by troubleshooting and performing fault isolation.
- May supervise telecommunications technicians and outside contractors providing technical support and media production services.
- Facilitates and operates VTC/IPTV/AV conferences, including starting and powering off equipment, conducting audio-visual checks, and serving as the primary operator for VTC conferences and collaborative meetings.
- Coordinates and implements recording and teleconferencing into sessions as required.
- Serves as initial responder to customer requests regarding VTC/IPTV/AV problems or issues.
- Creates daily “Calendaring” schedules for events requiring facilitation based on customer input from the Conference Room Scheduler or other sources.
- Proficient with Microsoft products including MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint.
- Builds facilitator schedules based on customer requests and coordinates facilitator and maintenance scheduling.
- Provides installation and technical support for Audio and Video Teleconference (ATC) systems.
- Installs, pulls, terminates, and tests all ATC equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces.
- Installs projection screens, plasma TVs, and different types of speakers.
- Reads blueprints and wires ATC racks.
- Provides technical support to users experiencing operational or maintenance issues with systems.
- Sets up and maintains equipment for audio and video conferencing and teleconferencing meeting needs.
- Supports engineers of site VTC and Conference Room systems, including scheduling VTC with external sites and configuring rooms for scheduled conferences.
- Performs video capturing and transfers video to a media streaming server.
- Troubleshoots equipment and network configurations.
- Provides weekly tracking and reporting on all projects, bridge activity, outages, number of VTCs, and other pertinent information.
Requirements
- High School diploma with 3–6 years of experience (or commensurate experience). Experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Active SECRET clearance required.
Pay
USD $75,000.00 – USD $94,000.00 per year.
