Duties of the Position
- Borrower assessment: structure, operations, industry, loan structure, historical financial statements, projections, key credit risks, strengths, weaknesses, regulatory compliance, market data analysis, collateral-based credit requests, annual reviews, interim financial statements, compliance monitoring, industry trends, credit file documentation, coverage, relationship building, travel, compliance responsibilities, computer proficiency, education requirements.
Compliance Responsibilities
In the performance of their duties, all BCI - Miami Branch staff members are required to comply with state and federal regulatory and legal requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1979, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Bank Bribery Amendments Act. Additionally, all staff members must comply with BCI’s Personnel Manual and Code of Ethics and other policies.
Pre-Hire Requirements
- Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers, fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Seven years of credit underwriting/credit analysis professional experience in a regulated USA financial institution with international exposure. Working knowledge of markets/industries in Latin America and banking products and related documentation. Fluent in both English and Spanish.
