Responsibilities
- Fund Management
- Oversee each fund's books and records
- Monthly reviews of cash activity, journal entries, and quarterly financial statement reporting
- Maintain compliance with investor deadlines
- Coordinate internal reviews and assemble capital call requests for investors
- Audit and tax return processes for lower-tier and upper-tier funds
- Review and approve audits and tax returns
- Modeling updates for tax credit projections and IRR calculations
- Finance Oversight for Portfolio Management
- Review and communicate with CPAs, general partners, and property managers regarding potential issues
- Update lower-tier modeling for individual scenarios
- Communicate with lower-tier general partners and property managers
- Provide guidance and assistance to support staff
- Relationship Management and Communication
- Accounting and tax updates relevant to the LIHTC industry
- Respond to investor requests
- Participate in calls with lower-tier general partners
- Provide financial expertise and guidance
- BS in Accounting
- At least 5 years of experience in public accounting
- Experience with affordable housing clients
- Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills
- Ability to balance competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
