About You

Responsibilities

The Vice President of Managed Services is responsible for leading and evolving ZBeta's Managed Services offerings. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will establish the strategy, operating model, service delivery standards, and organizational capabilities for Managed Services while building a scalable team that delivers exceptional client experiences and long-term partnerships.

ZBeta's Managed Services are founded on the principle of delivering ongoing, in-depth management of our clients' security systems, strategies, and programs. Going beyond traditional service models, our Managed Services offering forms long-term partnerships that elevate security's role within the enterprise. Through embedded security leadership, strategic advisory services, project management, and system administration, we help clients align their security programs with business objectives while ensuring operational excellence every day.

The VP of Managed Services will lead the teams responsible for delivering these services, ensuring clients receive exceptional strategic guidance, seamless project execution, and proactive operational support. This leader will establish the standards, processes, tools, and capabilities that enable consistent, high-quality service delivery while driving client satisfaction, operational excellence, team development, and the continued evolution of ZBeta's Managed Services offerings.

Working closely with Business Development, Consulting, Design Services, and Project Delivery, the VP will help transition project-based engagements into long-term managed service partnerships that create lasting value for clients.

  • Program Development
    • Develop and execute ZBeta's Managed Services strategy in alignment with the company's long-term vision and operational priorities.
    • Define and evolve Managed Services offerings to meet changing client needs and industry trends.
    • Establish standards, methodologies, governance models, and best practices across the Managed Services organization.
    • Develop and monitor operational KPIs that measure client satisfaction, service quality, responsiveness, delivery consistency, and team performance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and operational maturity across the Managed Services function.
  • Client Delivery
    • Serve as the executive sponsor for strategic Managed Services engagements.
    • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality managed services that exceed client expectations.
    • Establish governance frameworks, executive business reviews, and client health metrics.
    • Partner with clients to develop long-term security roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance client outcomes, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
    • Act as the executive escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring timely resolution and strong client relationships.
  • Program Management
    • Lead teams responsible for Service Management, Project Management, System Administration, and Embedded Security Leadership.
    • Develop scalable operating procedures, resource planning methodologies, and service delivery standards.
    • Oversee workforce planning, capacity management, staffing, and utilization to ensure effective service delivery.
    • Establish and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), operational KPIs, and quality standards.
    • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, consistency, and the client experience.
    • Partner with executive leadership to develop operational strategies that support organizational growth.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Build and lead a high-performing Managed Services team.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the Managed Services team, ensuring work quality goals and performance objectives are met.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Partner with Talent & Culture to develop career pathways, succession planning, onboarding, and professional development programs.
    • Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Business Development
    • Partner with Growth to support new business pursuits involving Managed Services.
    • Contribute operational expertise during solution development, proposals, and client presentations.
    • Collaborate with Consulting and Design Services to transition projects into long-term managed service engagements.
    • Identify opportunities to expand existing Managed Services relationships through additional service offerings and strategic initiatives.
    • Support the development of scalable service packages and delivery models that meet evolving client needs.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in physical security consulting, project delivery, managed services, and security operations
    • Five years in a senior management position
    • Experience managing executive client relationships and strategic accounts
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of physical security operations, consulting, project delivery, and managed services
    • Strong understanding of service delivery methodologies, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
    • Knowledge of project management, system administration, and enterprise security technologies
    • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, utilization, and operational performance management
  • Skills:
    • Strong presentation skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and to deliver these articulately and convincingly at all levels of an organization
    • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, and Visio
  • Abilities:
    • Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to communicate and present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with the ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus
    • Exceptional collaboration and people skills with the ability to help others understand financial parameters and business practices
    • Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional team, acting as a role model while guiding, developing, and mentoring others

Additional Information

This position requires the ability to travel up to 20%. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be able to meet client and/or government security screening requirements for the role. The successful completion of a background check is required upon hire and every two years thereafter.
