Position Summary

The Vice President, Global Supply Chain Management is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, design, and continuous improvement of the company's global supply chain organization across all Business Units and regions. This role establishes enterprise-wide supply chain strategies, operating standards, performance frameworks, systems, and processes that drive supply continuity, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and scalable growth. In addition to these global functional leadership responsibilities, the Vice President directly oversees and supports the supply chain performance of the Specialty Chemicals Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Global Supply Chain Functional Leadership - All Business Units
    Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy and governance model across all Business Units and regions.
    Define the enterprise operating model for planning, customer service, logistics, inventory, supplier relationship management, and performance management.
    Partner with cross-functional and Business Unit leaders on commercial alignment, capacity planning, network design, regulatory obligations, and supply chain risk mitigation.

  • Process Excellence, Systems, Technology and Data
    Own global supply chain process design, standards, KPI definitions, reporting mechanisms, and performance dashboards.
    Champion ERP, digital supply chain, planning, analytics, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Global Organizational Leadership
    Foster accountability, customer focus, collaboration, operational discipline, and continuous improvement across the supply chain organization.

  • Specialty Chemicals Business Unit Supply Chain Leadership
    Lead end-to-end Specialty Chemicals BU supply chain execution globally as part of the overall VP, Global Supply Chain Management role.
    Serve as the primary supply chain partner to Specialty Chemicals leadership and commercial teams, translating BU priorities into execution plans and cross-functional actions.
    Cookordination with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Shared Services, Logistics, sites, suppliers, and regional teams to resolve service, supply, inventory, logistics, and customer-impacting issues.

  • Order-to-Cash and Customer Fulfilment Execution
    Own BU-level order-to-cash governance across customer service, order management, fulfilment, logistics, invoicing coordination, exception management, and escalation support.
    Monitor order book health, service risks, fulfilment constraints, and execution performance while driving cross-functional actions to protect OTIF and customer experience.

  • Planning, S&OP, Inventory and Supply Performance
    Own Specialty Chemicals BU S&OP coordination, aligning demand, supply, inventory, cost, and commercial priorities.
    Coordinate with sites, suppliers, procurement, logistics providers, and regional teams to manage supply risks, inbound flow, replenishment priorities, and customer impact.
    Drive inventory optimization and support Sales and BU leadership on inventory strategy, route-to-market considerations, landed cost implications, and fulfilment priorities.

  • BU Supply Chain Performance Management and Continuous Improvement
    Own BU supply chain KPIs and performance reviews.
    Use data-driven analysis to identify gaps, prioritize corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in customer experience, operational efficiency, compliance, and profitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain leadership, preferably in specialty chemicals, chemical raw materials, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-regional supply chains and delivering operational, service, working capital, and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional supply chain activities in a complex, multi-site, and/or international environment.
  • Prior people leadership experience, including direct and matrix team management.
  • Professional supply chain certification, such as ASCM/APICS, is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams across multiple regions, including direct and matrixed resources.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain strategy, governance, process design, customer service, order-to-cash, logistics, inventory management, S&OP, supplier management, and performance management.
  • Experience with ERP systems and supply chain technology tools; experience with Sage, SAP, Oracle, supply chain planning tools, reporting dashboards, and advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Incoterms, data analysis tools, global trade, international logistics, regulatory compliance, GMP, ISO standards, and REACH considerations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing international business environment while balancing enterprise strategy with BU operational execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
