ManagementFull-time

Location: American Fork, Utah | Reports To: Chief Financial Officer | Company: BUILT Brands

Position Summary

BUILT is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Supply Chain to build and lead a best‑in‑class supply chain organization capable of supporting the company's next phase of growth. This leader will own end‑to‑end supply chain performance across procurement, demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, logistics, and S&OP. The role requires a builder who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments where data is often incomplete, systems are evolving, and decisions must be made with imperfect information. The ideal candidate balances long‑term strategy development with hands‑on operational problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a Best‑in‑Class Supply Chain Organization: Design and implement the organizational structure, processes, and operating rhythms required to support continued growth; recruit, develop, and lead a high‑performing team across planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and S&OP; establish clear accountability, performance expectations, and metrics; create a culture of urgency, ownership, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Own End‑to‑End Supply Chain Performance: Lead all supply chain functions—including strategic sourcing and procurement, demand planning, supply planning and production scheduling, inventory management, transportation and logistics, and S&OP; drive improvements in customer service, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, working capital, capacity utilization, and supply chain costs; develop capabilities that can scale over the next five to ten years.
  • Lead Sales & Operations Planning: Establish a disciplined, executive‑level S&OP process that aligns commercial demand with operational capacity; drive fact‑based decision‑making across Operations, Sales, Finance, and Executive Leadership; ensure risks, constraints, and opportunities are proactively identified and addressed.
  • Develop Strategic Supply Chain Capabilities: Build robust demand and supply planning capabilities; improve inventory visibility and management practices; create scalable sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships; strengthen business continuity and supply risk management programs; lead network optimization initiatives across manufacturing, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Drive Operational Results: Improve service levels while reducing inventory and operating costs; eliminate process bottlenecks and develop scalable operating procedures; utilize data and analytics to drive performance improvements while remaining comfortable making decisions when perfect data is unavailable; champion continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Partner Across the Enterprise: Serve as a critical business partner to Operations, Sales, Finance, IT, Product Development, and Executive Leadership; work closely with Finance to ensure disciplined inventory management, cost control, and working capital optimization; influence outcomes through strong leadership and collaboration rather than organizational authority alone.

Leadership Expectations

  • Demonstrate an exceptional sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Operate with a builder’s mentality and embrace ambiguity.
  • Make high‑quality decisions with incomplete information.
  • Hold themselves and others accountable for results.
  • Challenge existing practices and implement necessary change.
  • Lead with urgency while maintaining long‑term strategic focus.
  • Be highly analytical without becoming dependent on perfect data.
  • Inspire confidence during periods of rapid growth and change.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience.
  • Significant leadership experience within food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Proven success scaling supply chain organizations during periods of rapid growth.
  • Experience leading procurement, planning, inventory, logistics, and S&OP functions.
  • Track record of building teams, developing talent, and implementing scalable processes.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of working capital drivers.
  • Experience implementing or significantly improving ERP, planning, or supply chain systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting businesses that have scaled from several hundred million dollars in revenue to over $1 billion.
  • Experience within high‑growth, entrepreneurial, or founder‑led businesses.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • APICS or other supply chain certifications.

Key Success Metrics

  • Customer service and OTIF performance.
  • Forecast accuracy.
  • Inventory turns and inventory health.
  • Working capital performance.
  • Supply chain cost reduction.
  • Procurement savings and risk mitigation.
  • Production plan attainment.
  • Logistics efficiency.
  • Organizational capability development.
  • Employee retention and engagement.
