About the role

Xe is one of the world's leading cross-border payment providers, enabling consumers and businesses to move money internationally with speed, transparency, and competitive rates. Part of Euronet Worldwide (NASDAQ: EEFT), Xe operates across multiple FCA-regulated and internationally licensed entities spanning the UK, Europe, APAC, and North America. We are in an active phase of strategic transformation and are looking for a VP Finance who combines financial rigour with commercial instinct.

Responsibilities

  • Own Xe's financial performance — revenue, margin, cost, and capital allocation — as the primary financial voice to the MD and Euronet Group CFO.

  • Partner with commercial, product, and operations leadership on unit economics, investment cases, and pricing decisions.

  • Manage the relationship with Euronet Group finance on consolidated reporting and capital allocation.

  • Own Xe's financial statements globally — accurate, timely, standards-compliant financial statements (IFRS / UK GAAP) across all entities.

  • Oversee statutory accounts, consolidation, intercompany accounting, balance sheet integrity, and fixed assets.

  • Manage tax compliance across jurisdictions (VAT/GST, corporate tax) with external advisors and Euronet's internal tax team.

  • Lead FP&A — evolve from a static model to driver-based rolling forecasts and scenario planning that connect business activity to financial outcomes.

  • Own the annual budgeting process end-to-end; track actuals vs. budget monthly and drive variance accountability with function heads.

  • Enforce the global expense policy and act as second-level approver on material invoices.

  • Oversee month-end close, external audit relationships, and accounts payable globally.

  • Define and maintain Xe's internal financial control framework across all entities — procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles.

  • Serve as primary interface with internal and external audit; track and remediate control deficiencies.

  • Manage multi-currency, multi-entity treasury operations — FX exposure, settlement, liquidity, and TMF relationships with banking partners.

  • Ensure safeguarding of client funds under Payment Services and Electronic Money Regulations; oversee regulatory capital and stress testing.

  • Define and implement Xe's corporate credit policy — currently a strategic gap — and oversee credit risk, limits, provisioning, and collections.

  • Oversee middle office: trade confirmation, settlement, valuation, and front-to-back controls.

  • Hold SMF2 (Chief Finance Function) accountability under FCA Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).

  • Carry board director responsibilities across Xe's regulated entities — HiFX Europe Ltd, HiFM Ltd, XE Europe BV, XE Corporation.

  • Act as or support the Nominated EMD for Xe's EMI license application.

  • Own regulatory reporting across FCA (UK), DNB (NL), ASIC (AU), and FINTRAC (CA).

Requirements

  • Proven VP Finance, CFO, or Deputy CFO experience in a regulated financial services or fintech environment.

  • FCA-regulated experience; SMF2 approved or demonstrably approvable under SMCR.

  • Multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction experience — UK, EU, APAC preferred.

  • Strong FP&A and commercial finance capability; driver-based modelling and business partnering.

  • Hands-on accounting and financial statements experience across multiple entities and standards (IFRS / UK / US GAAP).

  • Treasury and liquidity management experience in a multi-currency context.

  • Payments, FX, or money movement industry background.

  • PREFERRED: EMI or Payment Institution regulation experience; CASS safeguarding and regulatory capital frameworks.

  • Experience building or scaling a corporate credit function.

  • Familiarity with payment rails (SEPA, SWIFT, real-time) and treasury automation.

  • Experience partnering with a listed parent on group reporting and capital allocation.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance

  • 401K Plan with Match

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan

  • Paid Vacation / Sick Leave

  • Hybrid Work Schedule

  • Tuition Assistance

  • Growth Opportunities

  • Corporate gatherings, team bonding events, and much more!

  • Plum™ Mental Health and Wellbeing Volunteering day for a charity of your choice

Pay

The reasonable estimated pay for this (Salary Exempt or Non-exempt hourly rate) role ranges from ($250,000USD to $275,000USD). Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
