VP, Field Sales, Corporate Payments, Boston/NYC
About the role
The VP of Field Sales will lead a team of 7–10 Field Sales Representatives, focusing on driving sales targets and enhancing team performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales targets for the assigned region
- Support the team in acquiring new B2B business through the Payables product suite (AP automation, commercial cards)
- Track and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) weekly, including pipeline development, prospecting efforts, deals closed, and customer onboarding
- Lead staffing, training, and performance evaluations to improve both market and individual sales performance
- Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent while staying informed about market and product trends
- Conduct weekly one-on-one coaching sessions, team sales meetings, and joint field visits
- Provide detailed performance reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Represent Corpay professionally at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and other cross-functional departments
- Monitor and manage team-related expenses in alignment with budgetary guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
- 6+ years of professional B2B sales experience
- A self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven success in high-performance, target-driven sales environments
- Experience working within a metrics- and activity-driven sales organization
- Strong background in “hunter” sales or new business development
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and listening skills
- Proficient in MS Office tools and CRM/sales platforms (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce)
- Expertise in managing territories, articulating value propositions, guiding sales cycles, and coaching pipeline health
- Effective at coaching and mentoring, performance management, and interviewing/hiring processes
- Driven by achievement, accountability, and continuous improvement

Pay Transparency
The expected salary range for this position is [$137,600 - $172,000] + uncapped commissions, based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, including incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits (where applicable), may also be provided.
