About the role

We are seeking a Vice President, Brand & Marketing to join our team based in Los Angeles or Chicago. In this role, you will be accountable for driving brand-led growth, strategic innovation, and customer marketing across Aspire Bakeries, including our iconic brands, La Brea Bakery and Otis Spunkmeyer, spanning Retail, Foodservice, QSR, and emerging channels. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this role plays a critical part in shaping Aspire’s growth trajectory by translating consumer, customer, and market insights into strategies and plans that deliver sustained topline profitable growth.

Core Accountabilities

  • Lead brand and marketing strategy for La Brea Bakery and Otis Spunkmeyer across Retail, Foodservice, QSR, and emerging channels.
  • Drive topline and P&L growth through brand marketing, customer marketing, and strategic innovation initiatives.
  • Develop and execute multi-year marketing and innovation roadmaps grounded in consumer, customer, and market insights.
  • Partner closely with Sales, R&D, Finance, and Operations to align growth strategies with commercial execution.
  • Establish best-in-class category management practices to drive growth with existing and new Retail customers.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing marketing and innovation organization, prioritizing talent development and succession.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure brand health, revenue growth, and return on marketing investment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; Marketing preferred.
  • 15+ years of consumer- and customer-facing experience within CPG/Food, across Retail and/or Foodservice.
  • Proven track record of driving branded and/or customer-branded revenue growth.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen with experience owning P&L outcomes delivering top line growth.
  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills, including decision-making with incomplete data.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced business degree.
  • Experience scaling brands across multiple go-to-market models and channels.
  • Deep experience with category management and syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana).
  • Experience leveraging digital and AI-enabled tools to drive marketing effectiveness.

Pay

Salary Range: $210,000.00 - $260,000.00
