About the role
Our client, a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space, is seeking a VP, Brand to join their team. This executive will shape enterprise brand strategy for a nationally recognized mission-driven organization with a complex federated structure. The role will guide a significant brand evolution, strengthen public awareness and trust, and ensure consistent positioning across multiple affiliated entities. The position will also partner closely with senior leadership and governance stakeholders to protect brand equity, deepen cultural relevance, and advance the organization's leadership development mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop brand architecture and positioning strategy while managing brand equity metrics
- Drive enterprise brand repositioning to enhance identity as a leadership development organization
- Establish research-informed positioning and audience segmentation frameworks
- Lead brand governance across 111 councils for national coherence
- Develop impactful brand campaigns to increase awareness and trust
- Exercise creative authority over all brand-aligned content
- Identify and manage national brand partnerships to enhance cultural relevance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10-12+ years in enterprise brand strategy at a nationally recognized organization
- Experience in a national membership organization, federated nonprofit, or youth-serving institution preferred
- Background in brand repositioning and narrative transformation for legacy brands
- Familiarity with cause-related marketing and consumer product licensing in a nonprofit context
- Proven success in managing brand governance and marketing across a multi-affiliate structure
- Senior executive communication and board-level presentation skills
