About The Role
We are seeking a VP of Agency Partnerships to own, build, and scale Monoline's most critical growth engine: our national broker and agency distribution channel. Monoline is building the defining brand in standalone personal umbrella insurance, and the agency channel is the foundation it is built on. We have built distribution relationships with the largest national brokerage firms in the country, and this role exists to turn those relationships into a durable, compounding competitive advantage. This role comes with a seat at the Senior Leadership table with full GWP accountability across every agency-facing channel. From our most strategic national broker relationships, through top regional firms and aggregators. This role leads a growing team of AVPs, Directors, and Senior Managers all tasked with developing and deepening these relationships and our market share. The ability to think strategically, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute with urgency will be critical. This is a player-coach role at a genuine inflection point. Starting day one, you are responsible for further development of the department including its strategic framework, staffing, and operating rhythm for your all-remote team. Your mandate is to scale what works: develop and implement the strategies that make Monoline the automatic, uncontested choice for every standalone personal umbrella submission in the country.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, Build & Develop the Agency Partnerships Team
Recruit, develop, and retain world-class distribution talent.
Set clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable to GWP targets, activation benchmarks, and engagement quality.
Own the operating rhythm: territory reviews, QBRs, and individual coaching.
Own Agency-Facing GWP & Channel Performance
Drive Deep Engagement at National Firms
Set and model the standard for office-by-office, user-by-user engagement at national partner firms.
Own executive-level relationships with senior leadership at our most important partners.
Champion the "Mini Monopoly" approach, making Monoline the automatic, uncontested choice for every standalone umbrella submission.
Drive SimpleSwitch funnel growth across the team's full partner portfolio.
Represent Monoline Externally
Qualifications & Experience
12+ years of experience in P&C insurance distribution, agency partnerships, MGA growth, or a related field, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing high-performing teams.
Proven track record of owning and growing GWP and driving measurable outcomes.
Experience recruiting, managing, and developing talent.
Executive presence and credibility with senior agency leadership.
Exceptional cross-functional collaborator. Able to work fluidly with Underwriting, Product, Operations, and Marketing to drive agent-centric improvements.
High-EQ leader able to create accountability without micromanaging.
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment; able to build structure and process from ambiguity.

Compensation
$225,000 to $275,000 base salary plus competitive bonus.
