Job Summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking part-time instructors to help make learning personal and inspiring for students. The role involves teaching in a small group setting (4:1 ratio) using Sylvan-based programs in various subjects including Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, SAT/ACT Prep, and state exams.

Responsibilities

  • Taught using Sylvan based programs
  • Supervise, interact with, and motivate students during instruction hours
  • Reward students for completed assignments
  • Evaluate and document student progress
  • Communicate student needs to center directors
  • Develop rapport with students and maintain a fun learning environment
  • Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan

Requirements

  • Available 4-20 hours per week, between 3:30-7:30 Monday-Thursday and Saturdays 9:00-1:00
  • No lesson planning required, as SylvanSync handles that for you

QualificationsMust have a strong background in education or related field, and be able to work with children.
