About the role

New Beginnings is seeking volunteers to join our team in our new office space at 530 E. Montecito Street, Suite 101, Santa Barbara, CA 93103. Volunteers will share in the organization's mission and values to provide effective, person‑centered services within the community and help broaden our reach and connection in Santa Barbara County. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

• administrative front desk assistance
• street outreach to people living in their vehicles
• lot monitoring
• credit repair and debt reduction assistance
• transporting clients to and from appointments
• aiding clients with ADLs
• job search and resume assistance
• helping with obtaining state and VA benefits
• online housing searches
• other tasks as needed
