Volunteer - Youth Sports Coach

Description

Positions in this class lead a youth sports team through practices and games. Officiate teams and games as needed. This is a volunteer position and does not offer any compensation.

Essential Duties

• Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week, or as assigned
• Days of Work: Weekday evenings and Weekends

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience and knowledge of sports coaching is desired; mandatory training will be provided.
• Volunteers eighteen (18) years of age or older who are accepted for the assignment will be required to successfully complete a criminal background report.

Supplemental Information

• Knowledge: Communicate clearly and concisely (both verbally and in writing)
• Skills: Convey a positive, friendly attitude, work pleasantly with staff, patrons, and other volunteers. Understand and follow written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures; receive instruction from Parks and Rec staff. Work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers.
