About the role

The Animal Care Program in Korea focuses on rescuing and providing care for animals that are not receiving fair treatment or are in danger due to various circumstances. Participants will work with local animal shelters, assisting with tasks like cleaning, feeding, and ensuring the well-being of stray dogs and cats. They will also assist in rescuing animals affected by natural disasters or violence, and help improve conditions for dogs in “dog farming” facilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • Be keen and enthusiastic to get involved in the project, and care about animals
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Minimum 2 weeks commitment
  • Police check (or equivalent) showing that you have no previous criminal convictions
  • Conversational English
  • Necessary vaccinations
  • Necessary flight & visas

This program focuses on rescuing and providing care for animals that are not receiving fair treatment or are in danger due to various circumstances.

Daily Life

During your participation in the Animal Care Program in Korea, your basecamp or guesthouse will be conveniently located in the heart of Seoul. This vibrant city is known for its thriving arts scene and bustling marketplace, offering a lively and exciting atmosphere. Despite the program’s shelters being scattered throughout the city, your accommodation will be just a few hours away from the airport, ensuring easy access.

  • Collaborate with the local team at animal shelters in Seoul to ensure the well-being and care of the stranded animals.
  • Contribute to the ongoing efforts of the local group to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these animals.
  • Support the organization's mission to create awareness and facilitate the adoption process for these deserving creatures.

Travel & Accommodation

You will be met at the airport by a project representative and brought to the project HQ upon arrival. During your stay in Seoul for the Animal Care Program, you will be provided with comfortable and convenient accommodation. The accommodation is ideally situated in close proximity to both the airport and the city center, ensuring easy access to transportation and various attractions.

  • Standard shared rooms accommodating 2 to 8 people

Costs

£900 GBP per week * 1 week required to confirm your place. The balance will be due 4 weeks prior to your departure. ** For the latest currency conversions, go to xe.com. *** All payments incur a 5% bank transfer fee
