Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the supervision of staff and volunteers including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and performance management.
- Lead daily operations of the department and enhance operational success.
- Identify, modify and implement creative strategies to recruit and/or engage sufficient volunteers to meet operational needs, support organizational changes, achieve objectives, comply with organizational directives, the Code of Federal Regulations and other regulatory requirements.
- Aid in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the department’s budget, goals and objectives.
- Consult with internal partners to develop and maintain volunteer recruitment and/or engagement plans and needs assessments. Ensure alignment of volunteer needs and national goals.
- Prepare internal partners to work with, monitor, and evaluate volunteer performance.
- Cook up and implement training and/or communications efforts as necessary.
- May lead programs and events related to volunteer services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Management Experience: Minimum of 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.

- Leadership skills with ability to train, coach, collaborate and delegate.
- Knowledge of group dynamics, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs preferred.
