Programs Coordinator (Volunteer)
About the role
The Dog Health Fund is dedicated to helping dog parents access essential veterinary care by providing financial assistance, resources, and community support. Our primary focus is to assist low- to moderate-income households in Jersey City and surrounding areas to ensure that dogs receive health treatment regardless of financial barriers. Our mission is to reduce dog suffering, prevent unnecessary surrenders or euthanasia caused by inability to pay, and strengthen the human–animal bond within our community.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Programs Coordinator to support our core mission of keeping dogs healthy and connected with their families. This role is ideal for someone passionate about animal welfare, community support, and administrative management who wants to directly impact dog owners seeking preventative and essential health resources.

- Education & Resources: Assist in distributing evidence-based educational guides, fact sheets, care-plan tools, and supporting community workshops or webinars.
- Microchipping & Special Initiatives: Help coordinate logistics, communications, and tracking for our unique microchipping initiative, as well as ad-hoc community programs as they arise.
- Program Tracking: Maintain clean records of inquiries, grant applications, and participant data in our database/CRM to help track programmatic impact.
