Volunteer Onboarding Specialist

About the role

The Volunteer Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting new volunteers joining YouVersion at Life.Church locations. This role involves coordinating onboarding processes, ensuring smooth integration, and providing ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate new volunteer onboarding processes, including training sessions and orientation materials.
• Manage volunteer schedules and ensure they are aligned with ministry needs.
• Oversee the distribution of necessary resources and equipment for new volunteers.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to new volunteers as they integrate into their roles.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination among new volunteers.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in event planning or volunteer management.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Communications, Event Management).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of volunteer management software (e.g., Volusion, SignUpGenius).

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
