About the role

The Volunteer Instructional Designer plays a crucial role in the global movement of making disciples. They design and develop interactive Bible study modules that foster deep understanding and practical application of biblical principles.

Responsibilities

  • Create interactive and engaging Bible study modules encouraging users to apply biblical principles in their daily lives.
  • Develop high-quality instructional materials including videos, quizzes, discussion prompts, and other multimedia elements.
  • Utilize innovative instructional design techniques to enhance user engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with theologians, educators, and other team members to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Design assessments and feedback mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of the interactions and user application.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in instructional design and online education to continuously improve the quality of our offerings.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Theology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in instructional design, preferably in online education or religious studies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Elucidat), multimedia creation, and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Video and Recording Software: Experience with Camtasia, Filmora, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Graphic Design Tools: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
  • Creativity: Strong creative skills with the ability to design visually appealing and interactive content.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pasion for Biblical Teachings: Deep understanding and appreciation of biblical principles and teachings.

  • Knowledge Retention: Pre- and post-assessment scores, along with long-term follow-up quizzes.
  • User Feedback: Ratings and qualitative feedback from learners on course content and delivery.
  • Content Quality: Number of revisions required, adherence to project timelines, and overall satisfaction of stakeholders.
