Responsibilities
Volunteer Tasks may include the following:
- WAYFINDING — Greet patients/guests, provide directions, information and escorting services as needed.
- NURSING (PATIENT CARE AREAS) — Provide assistance to team members, patients, families and visitors.
- OFFICE SUPPORT — Assist with many departments within the hospital.
- SURGERY AND WAITING ROOMS — Serve as supportive liaisons between patient families and operating room personnel.
- REGISTRATION DESK — Provide information and directions to patients and guests.
Requirements
- Good communication skills, vision and hearing are a must.
- Ability to walk, push a wheelchair.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the hospital and departments.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills, vision and hearing are a must.
- Ability to read and write, take oral and written messages.
- Good telephone skills, some typing skills helpful.
- Ability to walk, push a wheelchair, bend and lift.
- High degree of confidentiality.
- Outgoing personality, good people skills, and a caring and patient person.
- Knowledge of the hospital and departments.
