Volunteer Description

Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles. Our dedicated volunteers provide countless hours of exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff. They are an integral part of our McKay Dee Hospital family, providing valuable support in a variety of departments throughout the hospital.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Able to work alone and independently
• Have good communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Able to work with diverse populations
• Physical mobility (walking, bending, standing)
• Adequate hearing and vision
• Sensitive to patient and family situations

Requirements

• Pass a background check
• Agree to get a TB test
• Meet Immunization compliance

Skills

The volunteer program requires a six-month commitment, with a minimum of presenting for a 3-4 hour shift each week, exceptions being for vacation or illness.
