Families to Freedom is seeking volunteers to drive victims of domestic abuse to safety.
Responsibilities
- Drive victims and their children to domestic violence shelters across the region
- Transport victims and new survivors to family homes in other states
- Provide multi-state bus tickets for victims
- Offer fuel assistance to relocate victims far away
Requirements
- Flexible schedule to accommodate weekday daytime drives
- Willingness to accept or decline a drive without pressure
- Ability to provide car seats and receive training for transporting children
- Volunteers provide their own vehicle or use one provided by Families to Freedom
- Families to Freedom covers all travel costs including fuel
- Training is conducted in-person at the Houston office
- Safety is a top priority and volunteers receive ongoing safety training

Qualifications
