Volunteer: Demo Review and Live Feedback for Emerging Sound Artists

Scope of work

• Review a batch of 6 to 10 sound and audio post demo submissions
• Write specific notes on dialogue clarity, mix balance, and sound design
• Join one live feedback session to react to mixes in real time with the artists
• Offer light guidance on a small community audio project or two
• Flag standout sound artists who are ready for real Ineffable Films projects

The ideal volunteer

• A working or experienced professional in the craft of sound design and audio engineering
• Wants to provide honest, encouraging feedback to emerging artists

Timeline

• This project should take 12 to 20 hours to complete
• The volunteer will share 2 to 5 hours of their time per week

A few hours of your feedback does not just polish one demo. It tells a young filmmaker that their voice is worth investing in, it gives them a credit and a collaborator, and it can be the spark that turns a nervous first submission into a festival film.
