Volunteer: Demo Review and Live Feedback for Emerging Writers

Scope of work

• Review a batch of 6 to 10 script demo submissions (short Global Lens scripts)
• Write specific notes on voice, structure, clarity, and storytelling
• Join one live feedback session to react to scripts in real time with the writers
• Offer light guidance on a small community writing project or two
• Flag standout writers who are ready for real Ineffable Films projects

The ideal volunteer

• A working or experienced professional in the craft of writing
• Someone who remembers what it felt like to be starting out
• Willing to provide honest, encouraging feedback

Time commitment

This project should take 12 to 20 hours to complete. We are hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2 to 5 hours of their time per week.

Impact

A few hours of your feedback does not just polish one demo. It tells a young filmmaker that their voice is worth investing in, it gives them a credit and a collaborator, and it can be the spark that turns a nervous first submission into a festival film. That is how stories travel, and how the people telling them finally get seen.
