Volunteer Coach Soccer

Founded in Tampa, Florida, i9 Sports® is the nation's first and largest youth sports league franchise business in the United States, with over 1 million registrations in more than 500 communities. Established in 2003, i9 Sports offers youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for kids ages 3-17 in popular sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and baseball. The focus is on fun, safety, convenience, and good sportsmanship.

About the role

The Volunteer Coach is a hands-on role that leads athletes and provides expert instruction in their designated sport. The coach is directly responsible for delivering the i9 Sports Experience and fostering a positive youth sports culture on the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead practice sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values
• Communicate game day information to players and parents using established platforms
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge
• Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work independently
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some evenings for the full duration of the season (~7 weeks)
• Opt-in to texting for communication purposes
