Volunteer: Celebrity and Influencer Outreach Plan

About the role

Volunteer Collective Mission: Volunteer Collective engages Angelenos to volunteer at the nonprofits serving our neighbors who struggle economically.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive PR plan for approaching celebrities and influencers in Los Angeles who have an interest in food insecurity.
• Identify gaps in existing hunger-related volunteer opportunities in Los Angeles and collaborate with organizations to fill those gaps.
• Partner with PORCH (operating in 17 states) to promote neighborhood monthly food donation collections to raise awareness and provide reliable food to those in need.
• Assist in improving nonprofits’ communications tools to enhance collaboration and efficacy.

Requirements

• Public Relations and media-relations expertise.
• Experience developing actionable PR strategies for high-profile prospects (e.g., warm leads like Chrissy Teigen) and cold prospects with local interest in hunger.
