Volunteer: Media Outreach Plan and Pitch Materials

About the role

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We want to get more media attention for the work we are doing and increase visibility for our programs and services. We currently need support developing a concrete outreach effort to secure earned media coverage and broaden awareness of our work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a written 3-month media outreach plan.
• Create reusable pitch templates for media outreach.
• Compile a targeted media contact list with outlet names and contact details.

Requirements

• Media Relations and Public Relations expertise to produce these materials and help our team use them effectively.
