Volunteer: Social Media and Communications Plan
About the Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled volunteer to create a communications plan that integrates our website and social platforms to highlight events and our shop. This plan will include:
- Recommended platform roles for each social channel
- Cross-posting and linking strategies
- A simple content calendar template
- Messaging guidance
Specific platforms and assets will be defined in collaboration with the volunteer. The plan will cover Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Whatnot, and TikTok, and will be tied into our WordPress website and blog (hosted on GoDaddy).
Responsibilities
- Develop an integrated communications plan to increase visibility for events and our shop
- Define platform-specific roles and strategies for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Whatnot, and TikTok
- Create a cross-posting and linking strategy to connect social platforms with our website and blog
- Design a simple content calendar template for consistent posting
- Provide messaging guidance tailored to our mission and audience
- Collaborate closely with our team to refine recommendations and ensure they are actionable
Impact
A unified communications plan will help turn collectibles fundraising into greater support for youth charities and attract new hobbyists. As a volunteer, you will directly expand our fundraising reach and community engagement.
