Volunteer: Budget Proposal and Financial Review

About the role

We are seeking a volunteer to assist with preparing a board-ready budget proposal using our existing template after reviewing our financial records. The volunteer will analyze income and expense categories, develop realistic spending forecasts, document key planning assumptions, and produce a budget summary with line-item breakdowns and the percentage of the total budget allocated to each category.

Requirements

A realistic, implementable budget will help ensure funds are allocated to educational and job training scholarships for human trafficking survivors, advocacy programs, and provide a roadmap for us to operate as efficiently as possible in order to maximize our impact. Volunteer expertise will strengthen financial planning so the organization can better empower survivors and prevent exploitation.

Qualifications

• No accounting or board governance background required
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience with budget preparation and analysis
