Volunteer: Grant Proposal Review

About the role

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Our nonprofit is searching for a grant writer or talented copywriter to assist our team in reviewing a grant proposal and making updates.

Responsibilities

• Review a grant proposal and make updates
• Participate in two meetings with our team to discuss the project
• Review the application draft and align on expectations and project timeline
• Use the track changes function to check for inconsistencies and continuity errors, and create a list of recommended changes
• Make agreed-upon changes to the document through up to two rounds of edits

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing human trafficking, supporting survivors, and empowering communities through education, advocacy, and direct action. Our mission is to fight human trafficking, modern slavery, racism, and abuse through online campaigns, creating awareness and education for the public, and providing support and help to victims of human trafficking to rebuild their lives.
