We are dedicated to educating and supporting the transgender community while striving to normalize transgender existence within broader society. Through educational platforms, outreach efforts, and moderated social media, we cultivate a culture where transgender rights are respected, and gender diversity is celebrated as vital to human identity.

About the role

Gender Freedom Society is searching for a (Volunteer) Blog Content Writer to join our social media team. The ideal applicant will collaborate with the other social media platform Volunteer Leads. Candidates for this position must be residents of North America.

Responsibilities

• Craft engaging, high-quality content for the Gender Freedom Society blog.
• Edit and proofread all content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with the GFS values.
• Schedule and publish posts aligned with social media postings.
• Monitor comments and messages, and engage with the online community.
• Track and report monthly on social media and content performance (growth, engagement, reach), and recommend strategy improvements based on data.

• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Excellent grammar and attention to detail.
• Critical thinking, curiosity and a desire to learn.
• Ability to organize information and tell a compelling story.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work.
